Go Green and Lower Your Cholesterol Naturally.......

Our very own the late Wangari Mathaai, made it her life mission to defend and protect nature. For good reason too; nature provides us with all we need to maintain a healthy, vibrant lifestyle. From our sloppy mountains, down into the valleys, our meandering rivers, rich exotic forests, lakes and oceans to the air we breathe. All are natural healers. That said, in today’s modern society, toxins and pollution are found in the food we eat, the water we drink and even the air we breathe.
Body cleansing or detoxification is imperative to maintaining good health. While our bodies have a miraculous and natural ability to expel toxins, years of poor-eating habits, stress, low fiber- high sugar foods and sedentary lifestyles have caused a backlog of pollutant build-up in our system. One of the ways this build-up manifests itself is in our arteries as cholesterol; the leading cause of heart disease. The efficient functioning of vital organs like the colon, liver, and kidneys is impaired resulting in overall poor health and death.

1. To lower your Cholesterol,
·         Adopt a healthy, natural and wholesome diet, full of life giving foods. These would include fresh fruits and vegetables, buy them organic.
·         Reduce overall fat intake, avoid trans-fats and limit saturated fat or “bad fats” found in deep fried foods. Replace these with "good fats" such as olive oil and those found in whole grains, avocado and omega 3 fish.
·         Eliminate sweets and refined foods, few people realize that eating sweets increases triglycerides (bad fats) and cholesterol production.

2. Go green for Physical Activity.
Embrace nature. This can be as easy as taking a walk in the park or walking the dog around the block. At least 30minutes of exercise a day has been shown to reduce total cholesterol and improve "good" HDL cholesterol levels.

3. Drink Aloe Vera Juice:
·         It is a great herb that contains over 200 active ingredients. These include a mixture of natural antibiotics, capillary dilators, immune boosters, body detoxifiers and cleansers, and cell rejuvenators. They are very important properties for enhancing the body’s natural detox engine; treats digestive disorders like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, heartburn and indigestion. It is great for weight watchers as it raises the body’s metabolism and fat metabolism.
4. Drink Green Tea:
·         For centuries green tea has been used to maintain good health.  It is known to posses the highest number of antioxidants and phytochemicals (plant substancepreventing disease) as well as other important nutrients, vitamins and minerals. It works by increasing fat oxidation and fat metabolism.
5. Use Moringa Leaf Powder:
This is popularly known as ‘Never Die’ due to its enormous health boosting properties. It is the ultimate, natural, energy and endurance health supplement. This makes it the most powerful anti-oxidant of all. “Never Die” is a powerful free radical fighter that helps the body cleanse and detoxify naturally. It is loaded with powerful and vital nutrients that enhance the body’s cleansing properties, helping the body organs (heart, colon, liver, and kidneys) function at their optimal. It also contains Amino Acids which are the building blocks of protein, a key nutrient to a well functioning system. Inevitably, a noticeable change in anyone using Moringa leaf powder is a healthier and younger-looking skin.
6. Drink Water for life.
·        This will help your body eliminate toxins.  A minimum of drink 2 liters of pure water daily is a good start. As we continue to take from nature, let's heed the late Wangari Mathaai’s call to be a humming bird; each one of us in our individual capacity, let's do the best we can, let's plant a tree.
