For Healthy Skin; Sleep More...

Beauty sleep is not a myth; not sleeping enough makes you ugly...

People who do not get enough sleep at night (approx. 8 hours) are actually less attractive than they'd be otherwise: there's the key to looking good.

"The observers rated the sleep-deprived as appearing less healthy, more tired and less attractive than those who had had enough sleep,” researchers say of the findings of the study.

Your body manages and requires sleep in much the same way that it regulates the need for eating, drinking, and breathing. Studies have consistently shown that sleep plays a vital role in promoting physical health, longevity, and emotional well-being.

If you don't have any early obligations tomorrow, sleep in as long as you like. If you have to get up early, take a nap later in the afternoon. The ideal time for a nap is about 8 hours after you get up -- that's when your body temperature naturally takes a little dip (a sleep inducer); it's part of your normal biological rhythm. So give in, and experience the beauty benefits of a little power nap.

For Friday's post, I'll let you know how to ensure you get better sleep. Until then, Keep it Fabulous!
