Jeff Koinange onthe Rotary Bench

I always look forward to our club meetings not because it’s another day away from my daily routine but having the chance to serve the community. “We are the coolest club in the club”.

Our guest speaker Jeff Koinange shared more on what inspired him to write his book – Through my African Eyes.  For a gentleman who smiles a lot and always stops to say hi back to people, you wouldn’t think that his job required so much commitment and risks. 

The meeting begun in time and was well attended by Rotarians around Nairobi, taking front seats just to pay close attention to what Jeff had to share. 

After a short interview session on what led him to write his book, Jeff eventually got up a read his favorite chapter from an experience he had back in Nigeria. 

 Telling the story like it happened a day before, the audience laughed, sighed and maintained pin drop silence each time he went back to read a line

Two hours later into the story telling, the moment everyone was waiting for came to be. After I gave the vote of thanks we proceeded to the book signing where I had a book signed for my sons.
